The Speech and Debate program at CCA is open to students twelve years of age and older. The team meets weekly throughout the school year to prepare and practice their presentation and thinking skills. Students have the opportunity to compete in a variety of speech and debate events with the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA). The NCFCA is the oldest and most established Christian forensics league in the country.
Art club is an opportunity for students to learn new techniques and create beautiful masterpieces with their friends after school.
Drama Club gives students in 6th grades and above the opportunity to learn more about the aspects of theater including stage terminology, acting skills, set building, and costume/makeup design. The Drama Club performs at least one production per school year.
CCA students in 4th and 5th grades have the opportunity to participate in 4-H Club. Tennessee 4-H encourages diverse groups of youth to develop their unique skills and talents to the fullest potential. Young people participate in 4-H through clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps, and many other activities. "Learning by doing" through hands-on activities and community involvement empowers 4-H'er's to develop and strengthen life skills.
Photography Club, for 6th grade and above, is an ideal place for students to promote creativity through photography, share and critique the photographs of peers, and spread the love of photography. Photography Club participants will learn how to capture the ideal photo and learn the fundamentals of lighting and photo editing.
Coding Club, for 3rd grade and above, is an opportunity for students to be introduced to computer science; concepts covered will help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills.
Focus Band, for 6th grade and above, gives students the opportunity to use their musical gifts to help lead Focus once a week.
STEM Club, led by Crystal Wilson, is offered to provide hands-on learning and experimentation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For 3rd-5th grade students, a different project is explored each meeting and includes a take home item to foster continual learning. Upper school students will focus on preparing to compete in the Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Discovery Park of America.
